Our mission

The Heart of Hospice Foundation's mission is to  improve the quality of life for those with life-limiting conditions and those at the end of life and their family members. We do this through simple efforts – such as empowering a Hospice nurse to take a patient their favorite muffin or coffee drink each week – and the more complex – such as arranging a flight across the country in a matter of hours so that a loved one might have a final goodbye. We provide coffee drinks and special treats to brighten our patients’ day. We have bought clothes, eye glasses, bedding, and subscriptions to Lifeline Alerts to improve patients’ quality of life. We have made travel arrangements for family members to see their loved ones one last time. We have paid utility bills for surviving family members in financial difficulties. We are able to do this through the generous donations of our supporters. 

 It is through your generous donations to the Heart of Hospice Foundation that we are able to continue improving the quality of life for those hospice patients  at the end of their life. With your donations, we are able to help patients and their families struggling with financial hardships, offer additional services to honor veterans, and provide support to families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease.
